We went to Adventure Wonderland in Bournemouth earlier in the week.
When there we had a go on the water baloon fight.
I forgot to take my iPhone out of my pocket and it got a little bit wet.
On closer examination the iPhone kept saying that there was a set of headphones plugged in even though there wasn’t.
When I got home I read on the internet about putting a cotton wool bud down the headphone socket.
I tried this and it didn’t resolve it.
I also tried hairdrying the headphone socket. That didn’t work either. I gave up and contemplated buying another one under the out of warranty replacement scheme.
I left the iPhone charging and then all of a sudden the iPhone lock screen appeared and its now all good. Wahooooooooo.
Well I took the plunge and updated to the GM of iPhone OS 3.0. Once updated the iPhone booted up and sat on activating for ages……………
Eventually it activated. Shortly after activating I got a text from o2 saying :-
MMS is now setup for you. We will let you know when it is setup and ready to use.
About an hour later I got a MMS from O2 saying its all setup and ready to use. As you can see below, sends and receives fine.
At last the iPhone now has MMS and joins every other phone in having it.

I recently took the plunge and installed the beta version of iPhone OS 3.0.
I found that my battery life took a MASSIVE hit. It was depleted within around 8 hours.
So I downgraded back to 2.2.1 but it didn’t role back the baseband. Battery life was still bad.
I found out about an app called Fuzzy Baseband Downgrader in Cydia.
Once i had jailbreaked my phone I downloaded it in cydia.
Now all is good and battery life back to normal.
